if there is a good bite of grass then not at all.As we are roughly on the topic, settle a debate. How long do people feed their ewes after lambing with lambs at foot in the fields if you do at all?
The same way as before with a snacker for about three weeks. As we are roughly on the topic, settle a debate. How long do people feed their ewes after lambing with lambs at foot in the fields if you do at all?

July for you?Till it warms up and grass grows
Mid mayJuly for you?
Doesnāt have to come from feed though. 4 inch of spring grass is better than any feedCheapest and best way to grow lambs is milk
What about if you have 4 mmDoesnāt have to come from feed though. 4 inch of spring grass is better than any feed
Alter lambing date and no need for alit of hard feedCheapest and best way to grow lambs is milk
Yes tempting to start about now but our system is governed by meeting sale dates, but still might be better off.Alter lambing date and no need for alit of hard feed

Why won't they find their mother's?I can never get away with feeding sheep after lambing I would loose more mis mothered than I would gain
I always lambed late April I often hit bad weather and didnāt get the fields cleared till into June so put it forward to early AprilYes tempting to start about now but our system is governed by meeting sale dates, but still might be better off.
Yes it's either keep 1000 and feed or 500 and grassif you have 4mm you are overstocked and havenāt behaved over winter or your lambing date is too early for your conditions
but you sell lambs for millions so you can afford plenty feed
