Sand and Gravel,
Been an ongoing saga/ noose round our necks for more than 10 years.
Oh sorry.

I sort of assumed you would be paid well for it.

Yorkstone or clay for clap pipes locally.

Next door to us 6 inch of nice sandy soil, 6 inch of sand + big stones under that 26 foot of Gritstone & under that clay.

Would love to farm 8 inch of light soil on top of a clay subsoil if fitted with a good drainage system.

Come to the brecks you can farm 8inches of sand on top of 8foot of sand 🙄 or if your lucky you'll have chalk underneath

Well we’re done, managed to get 9 loads in off the last field this wk. Unfortunately got the first load rejected this morning, with only another 1-2 loads left on the slab. Hopefully the haulage and cattle men will clear up.

I do hope they’re not using this year’s average in the future, we only made 65% quota!

Got the field drilled yesterday, so all good. Cambs council can now shut the road for 8 weeks🤦‍♂️

Enjoyed the invitation to meet some bigwig and have bacon sandwiches and a factory tour at Bury on.....
March 15th! You can't make this stuff up. Not like we might be attempting to create a seedbed, or drilling or ferting or spraying beet.
Another BS own goal. Or it might be a ploy to keep those angry farmers away.......:ROFLMAO:
