Berthoud vs hardi

Hi every one. Just after people’s thoughts on the better sprayer. The hardi 24 meter with steering drawbar 2004 reg tidy or the Berthoud 24 meter rigid 2004 reg tidy. But it has done more work, one is private and the other is a dealer both about the same money. We don’t have steep banks but we are on heavy clay. Both have tickets. Cheers for helping

The booms are better on berthoud and the paint is definitely better

Good sprayers, hardi seem to fit things that only they sell. Very annoying.

Check the axle on the hardi, they had a reputation for cracking for a while. Can't recall which years though.

I would opt for the berthoud.

Rigid drawbar not a major drawback.
Spray fields the same direction every time and trampling is minimal.
Mine has steering drawbar and only use it occassionaly when spraying across a slope or getting in a tight gate.
Mine is 02 and has given exemplary service.

I also hope your finger got stuck on the zero button .
Thats a quarter million acres a year or 3.5 million acres in its life .
Dont think l would've bought that.

I know it’s a gamble. The money is rite and it’s coming from a very good machinery dealer who has promised it will be rite. 10,000 ha

10 000ha/yr is still a massive workload for an old sprayer.

Just being pedantic, it will be a good sprayer for you. Does it have the land drive pump?

Is the land drive a dpe? The one we have got is a 32 ax on the plate

No the land drive is DPA.
32 AX on plate means 3200 litre with axial boom.
