Any suggestions for a strong glue, I need to glue a bracket back on a plastic headlight fitting, the adjuster was seized and it snapped the adjustment bracket off!

4M produce a number of specialist glues for plastics. There is an infinite range of plastics and most need a glue to match and the bond will usually be stronger than the original. I have found this very good and worth the price:

They also have a technical department and are pleased to advise. They advise various accessories with that glue but they aren't strictly necessary. I bought the plunger which depresses both tubes at the same time but didn't buy the fancy dispenser (which is not chap). You need the correct 'bits' to match and a fresh nozzle for each job, about £1 each.

Dab one surface with baking powder, and a drop of superglue on the other surface. Line it up exactly and press. It is instant and much stronger than the glue by itself.

One warning - you only get one go at getting it lined up, you will have to break the whole thing to get it apart.
