Best options for new trailer floor

My 14 foot Graham Edwards trailer floor has more patches over soft places, than proper floor and needs replacing.
Should I go with phenolythic, or alloy checker as it never gets put under cover?
Either way isn't cheap...
Thoughts.....

Stick to phenolic, yes won't last forever but it takes the knocks. Alloy looks nice new, but everything skids around on it too easy.
Only time I'd go alloy is if left outside permanently & not used much, or only moving vehicles etc... 🤔

Alloy checquer all the way, phenolic ply gets scuffed then wears away then breaks. Sods law says that we all generally use trailers for the same job most of the time so the wear ends up concentrated in just a few places

Personally think ally looks awful on trailer floors. Always curls up at the edges and doesn’t sit flat after a while. Plus you have to lay it on top of a timber floor anyway so just adding weight.
If you look after a phenolic board it will last forever

Aalco do the phenolic resin board which should generate a saving over going direct to the dealers. My first floor gave up the ghost at about 12 years, new one in 4 years ago now and still as good as new. Just remember to paint any cut edges to the boards to seal them.

I think I used a special acrylic sealer paint on the edges of the decks on the stock box.

I initially bought the boards from our local commercial bodybuilder. When asked what was best to seal the ends with his response was "any old sh!t as long as they're sealed, that's the important bit"
