Best smell of the year

Someone said today that the best smell is freshly rolled cereals in the spring.

My entry would be freshly spread rotten muck in the autumn or possibly freshly mown grass.

Any other thoughts?

This exact thing crossed my mind the other day when driving thru an area that just smelt of spring optimism.

I think the perfect mix is: 30% freshly mucked out cattle courts, 40% flowering osr and 30% freshly cut grass.

Castrol R. Castor oil burnt in either methanol (speedway), or petrol (2 stroke race engines).

During the 'first lockdown' I used some in the leaf blower to clean up the yard, the best 'perfume' known to man, and far superior to that expensive French tosh.
