Best sprayer tractor

Looking for people's views on best tractor for a mounted sprayer?

Have a 1900l front tank, 2000l rear with booms that fold up at back. Spraying circa 2000ha a year total. All cereals and liquid fert too.

Currently got a 2011 2170 fastrac 6500 hours, it's a bit noisy and uncomfortable, so looking to upgrade. Running 380 rowcrops at 80".

Would also hope to plough with whatever tractor I buy too so I can use it over winter. Got a 6f fully mounted KV with a packomat press so basically weight of a 7f mounted.

Currently ploughing with our t7 260, which also does drilling, mowers, hesston square baler. So would take some pressure off it. It's done 6k hours so should last a good while yet.

First choice would be a 4220 fastrac as like 4ws for ins/outs tramlines. Bit concerned about reliability though. Just bought new tyres for existing rowcrops too.

Would be 2nd hand. The weight of the sprayer loaded makes me think a heavier tractor would be better. It seems to be boss of the 2170 in some places. Also definitely want a vario transmission. The t7 is a auto command, really miss that gearbox when doing fieldwork with fastrac.
We run a 4220 17 plate (3500 hrs) and its been fairly reliable alot more so than my t7270 18 plate. It pulls our 6f kv and press quite happily and if need more traction put the block on back of the cab. Be a great sprayer tractor with 4ws. We have a t235 valtra now on my trailed horsch and have been quite impressed with it. Tried a fendt it was nice but..... but insane money for one and couldn't see the benefit over the valtra.

I don’t now the answer.

Will your row crop wheels fit if you get one of the newer 4220 if the axle hubs are bigger ?
Yeah I'm not sure what year hubs changed. Would need to check. Could always get gas axe out to make them bigger!

Got new boots today. Rides much improved.

Thanks. Good to hear from someone that runs one.

Why don't you run the 4220 on the trailed sprayer?

Good question, we run it through the isobus so need a screen and they are alot more money than a nh or valtra and i am too tight even though i do all the spraying. Don't want to run 2 fastracs as the current one is needed elsewhere as it gets used for a lot of running about as we have a farm 34 miles away.

We converted a MF 35 to a high clearance sprayer with a Ransomes 150 gallon sprayer fixed permanently to it row crop wheels from a Ford 5000 and plenty of four stone weights on the front and a sheet underneath you couldn’t see where it had been in either corn or potatoes so i’d say that was the best sprayer tractor so get yourself one of those you won’t go far wrong.
