I'd put my money on Kawasaki Krx 1000, i could just barely rate it as an utv and justify it to myself.

My neighbour had a Kubota 900 and it was very slow on all types of terrain but looked stronger built than most. Engine started knocking badly and he swapped for a Polaris about a month ago. It's still a Kubota engine but it's half the noise and twice the speed. Rep told him the can am 800 will do over 60mph( petrol )

If you want a Diesel then the Polaris ranger, if you want a petrol either the Polaris Xp 1000 or the Can Am Traxter HD10. If you are doing lots of road work you will have to keep well on top of maintenance UTVs rnt the cheapest to run when it comes to bearings and bushes etc

Neighbour thought the Polaris was more reasonably priced than some but then realized it comes with bugger all as standard.£12750 but no bumpers, mirrors, doors, hitch, heater, worklights, standard wheels and tyres etc. By the the time everything was added up it would have been £19000+. He soon took a lot off the list again.

I dont know to be honest. we got the latest gator 865 and its always broken down. They are an essential tool for us and we thought having the old 855 as a spare would do.... BUT we had to hire one this lambing early on as both broke down same day, then you guessed it the hire one broke down, to be fair that was a blocked tank filter.
We do work them hard currently we are putting 100miles a day on the 865 but they are not up to the job to be honest.

One or two around here gone off them ( myself included) around here, basically shite build quality for the price and nowhere as tough as a quad. Maybe ok if you have a nice flat kind Farm but any kind of serious work make sure they are gone by end of warranty. Neighbour always ran Kawasaki mules for many years but has given up on them when the last service was 2k, bought a yam 700 bike instead
