What do people think off GEA milking equipment In particular the IQ cluster . Would love to try Waikato equipment out of curiosity, but know of nothing in my neck of woods.

Older gea stuff was the best you could buy.(y)

The IQ cluster is a gimmick,Ive westfalia 300 claw pieces and when you watch the milk coming down from the teat it does just that,it doesn't go up the other liners and infect other quarters, total bullsh1t that it does.

I know that, but for vacuumed stability and speed of attachment with two at time attachment are they any good or is that a gimmick as well. Have been looking at few plants ,vary speed vac pump ,milk pump cluster removers quality cluster and liners is what I'm after

They are something daft like £440/claw,there is no way they are worth it,a good plant with adequate reserve is far better for stability, you can buy a copy wesfalia 300 claw from dairy spares for £50 they are identical except for no name embossed on them.

I have waikato shells and westfalia claws, they work well for me,I've never thought I need to change them.

I've bought a vari speed drive/inverter for my milk pump but have never fitted it,as I'm not sure its worth doing, them same applies to a vari speed vac pump,I'd have to buy new vacuum pumps and pay back would be near ten years by my calcs.

What about d boumatic cluster that looks a good job?hard to know what to do with so much choice...probably find good and bad things with them all:scratchhead:

My advice to any looking for parlour equip is try it out 1st,you can't beat milking in someone else's parlour, shows you what's good and bad.:)
