Suggestions please how to do a graphic presentation to show varying gross margins for various SFI schemes, that one is considering for different fields and also to show what effect over the whole farm scenario.
The above will be shown to family members who are not connected with the daily running of the farm business involved.
No doubt other TFF members have similar situations to explain the effect of SFI schemes.

Use excel.

Put the SFI option in one column and the margins for each in another.

Select all the data, including the column headers, and excel will draw a bar chart for you. Click 'recommended charts' button found on the insert ribbon.

Things like chat gpt are good for helping . You can ask it to show you example spreadsheets, then ask it to modify them to suit.
The really useful bit is you can ask it for the relevant formula to do specific tasks.
Might have to ask and prompt a few times but it gets there in the end.

As said above, add the data to an Excel sheet and create graphs in there.
If you want to arrange it into a more structured presentation you can then copy and paste into PowerPoint slides.

If you don’t have Office, the same can be done with free alternatives (LibreOffice).

A fair while ago, I was teaching an evening class for adults, who were new to computers. I showed them the basics of spreadsheets, and then moved to charts. When they discovered a 3D chart can be moved around on its axis, they thought they were entering the world of spies! I then showed them that if they wanted to hide a negative figure in their accounts, they could do a pie chart. There was a groan at the back and a man said he was a tax inspector and I had just made his life difficult!
