Well cant get excited about state of my crops so might as well get excited about the weather Our brook is at the 2nd highest I have seen it in 40 years so today is not yet unprecedented but it is unusual.It's just what's so, what story there is about it is the story there is about it.

Mate sent some photos from Helpringham area this morning. Looked a tadge damp. The benefit we have is all our ground is on the side of a hill so it’s runs away a bit easier.Met office rainfall map still showing ridiculously low amounts of rain compared to what we are actually getting here. They are showing 2 to 4 mm an hour. We are getting that in 10 minutes and it’s relentless. Soon be an emergency situation locally. Folk have no idea.

You are in a traditionally dry county though, 100 miles north we have had autumns like this before, whether it’s to do with the jet stream or something I don’t know. No fun in it.It is now the wettest october and we are only 2/3 though it 10 days to go
