Biblical weather

Water everywhere and still torrential. Certainly we’ve got some serious crop damage but at least we live on a rise. Some poor folk are going to get their homes flooded out for certain soon and compared to crop damage that’s personal misery on a different level.

It's just what's so, what story there is about it is the story there is about it.

Rain is rain is rain but we can make it mean anything about us and what we're doing.

It takes a simple creature to leave it at "oh it's raining"

I thought it was Scotland that was supposed to get the worst of it. Looking at current weather maps it is from the Wash to the Wirral that is getting it bad, 40-50mm so far today in that band and pissing down

Well cant get excited about state of my crops so might as well get excited about the weather :ROFLMAO: Our brook is at the 2nd highest I have seen it in 40 years so today is not yet unprecedented but it is unusual.

Met office rainfall map still showing ridiculously low amounts of rain compared to what we are actually getting here. They are showing 2 to 4 mm an hour. We are getting that in 10 minutes and it’s relentless. Soon be an emergency situation locally. Folk have no idea.
Mate sent some photos from Helpringham area this morning. Looked a tadge damp. The benefit we have is all our ground is on the side of a hill so it’s runs away a bit easier.
Feel for you all though.

Don't think you can get in or out of village now, people asking on FB how do their clients get home. No sympathy really as it was obvious at 8am it wasn't fit to be out, I cancelled my hospital appointment due to the weather (not something I do lightly).
Houses up the road have slurry pumps going now to try to stop flooding.
