Big weaned bottle lamb with weak/tender legs???

A couple of weeks back we weaned the first batch of ten bottle lambs at about 5-6 weeks of age. They were all on creep/hay/grass prior to stopping the milk. No real dramas and they all went out the field with the creep feeder along with a few problem ewes with lambs. Within a few days the largest lamb in the bunch started walking as if on eggs and not really moving far. He would lie there by the feeder all day. Checked and treated for scald. Nothing to see their though. After a few days his back legs seem to get weaker and he has lost a lot of condition. Another large lamb appeared to have similar but not so bad condition. We have given them vit/mineral drench with no improvement. They looked so bad that the 2 of them have come back in with a few slow lambs and gone back on some milk. Skin condition has improved no end and the 2nd lamb is now fit again. But the first big lamb is still weak on his legs and walking looks painful. At a lose now. Suspect white muscle/vit E deficiency or similar. Before we lose money and take the poor lad to the vets for tests does anyone have any ideas?
