Does any one know of a biogas plant that runs on horse dung and shavings I read an article about a plan but cant find it now.

We have 16 horses in yard and I was wondering is there an opportunity to use the dung for something product.

I know that there is a large one ( near Newmarket funnily enough) that uses it as a small proportion of the mix. Probably was part of the planning conditions that they used a proportion of waste.

16 horses wouldn't produce enough dung to even consider building a biogas plant. It would also be very dry on its own, most digesters operate with a solids content below 10% so it would need mixed with slurry for the process to even be possible.
