Brilliant, thanks for that. I have just watched the first one. I thought that the maize with a companion crop of peas worked well, quite tempted to try a few acres.
Can you find out a bit more about the trailed sprayer, I wonder if it would be suitable for applying compost tea.

Country Calendar, was much better years ago, still has the occasional good programme but seems to have gone off on a tangent, wish it was more informative, more detailed and more representive of New Zealand farming rather than beinging simplefied by the media for urban veiwers.:(

A few more videos
This video is about a dairy farmer who lowered is stocking rate and introduced diversity into is swards to cope with dry conditions.

This one is about an island farm which had to remove stock for 6-8 months and how it influenced the farmer into changing farm practice.

Wonder how many chocks don't learn get out of the way of the chock house while moveing

the sprayer Barleycorn is this
http://nz.towandfarm.com/tow-and-fert-c-95_119.html

have not looked close at one tho think big flood jets maybe 3-4 across the boom with a trash pump to handle thicker products

That sprayer looks interesting. They seem to be saying you can put urea straight in and keep it mixed like a suspension fertilizer. That would be a whole lot easier than dissolving for 24 hours or what ever. May even be able to get a higher concentration than 18%. Good for Avadex as well.

not sure on that one of the inlaws sells sprayers builds them up etc etc said have to melt urea it will melt 1 Kg to 1 Lt .. but don't suck the crap out of the bottom of mixing tank or try to mix in a piston sprayer ..

if it's got a sluge pump could handle it but sooner see it soak first

i think it would work OK big lumps of stuff it would have a prob i guess but built to take larger soilds

have seen one at the quad shop never realy took much notice we have a 400 Lt sprayer here on flats OK but any hills quad bike can't get a grip so i would be saying more a tow with small tractor or old land rover on mud grips

the outfit makeing them don't know if they export but there line up of horse 5hit sweepers and tow mowers i would think could have a following in the UK and same deal with the tow and fert system
