I did same, although have BKT on teleporter and think they are excellentI went for Kleber tyres, they’re the budget tyre of Michelin and with cash back worked out cheaper than BKT at the time. Seem to grip well

710/70/r42 and 650/65/r34
Fair lumps of rubber
I have Michelin on the merlo.still plenty tread on them it's an 18 plate 4500 hours.90% yard work, way better than the mitas ones we used to put on them.Tried BKT on the Merlo, after the original Mitas, lasted roughly half the hours of the Mitas. Don’t hear anything but good things as far as tractor tyres go tho. I have Michelins on an Arion 640 2010 , 10k hours and still have 25% left…. Just cracking badly , which may be age as much as hours.
How do you know the difference?Depends if you go for bkt budget range or bkt premium range.
Same as other brands. its carry capacity at speed/psi.How do you know the difference?
Local tyre fitter says BKT need replacing at about 30% as grip becomes very poor.
Bar width?
This was my main concern in the first place, I am even more undecided nowOn that size of tyres buy Michelin as BKT will not stand up to the job
Sure he's not talking about the trelleborgs? That's the problem we had,the bars get twice the width as they wear and don't bite in anymore. The load and speed rating is on the tyre, higher the number to the higher the weight per tyre, the letter following it is the speed, A being slowest D/E fastest eg 155D in ours are a medium weight carrying good for 65kHow do you know the difference?

Bar width?
He did say trelleborgs, which I have on, do get rounded bars and wider so do struggle , luckily here it's soft anyway so grip isn't usually an issue.Sure he's not talking about the trelleborgs? Alliance tyres step out wider as they wear other wise I was tempted to try them. Bkt look good to me so farHe did say trelleborgs, which I have on, do get rounded bars and wider so do struggle , luckily here it's soft anyway so grip isn't usually an issue.
Was yesterday on some steep I was baling, sideways grip was issue
Lots have said BKT have to come off at 30% due to lack of grip. Maybe same issue as Trelleborgs?

Bkt might be noisier on the road? Shut the windows and turn the radio up cured that. Newer trelleborgs are different design now but at 2 1/2 times the price I wasn't going to try themPays your money takes your choice.
I've always spec'd Michelin on new tractors but the ex demo was on trelleborgs, lasting well so happy.
When I replaced last set Michelin with discount and cash back was similar price to BKT. So was a no brainer tbh.
You hear horror stories with most makes
Always worth pricing various options.I’ve never been a fan of the trelleborgs, always find the rubber cracks and doesn’t last very long. We’ve had various BKT fitted over the years and all have been great with no complaints. our main tractors are on on Michelin at the minute as that’s how they came from the factory but If I was retreading a tractor doing similar hours to you I don’t think I could justify the extra for Michelin, I’d be straight down the BKT route.
Dont buy alliance. Heard lots of bad reports including a set i had aswelAlliance tyres step out wider as they wear other wise I was tempted to try them. Bkt look good to me so farView attachment 1056409
