What’s everyone’s thoughts on blackwater Ainsley (blonde). Iv been looking for a blonde bull but thought I’d try some A.I first and Iv came across him and think he looks great and so do his calves from what Iv seen? I know blondes are not popular by many but that was the old blonde I feel the modern is like a limousin just a different colour, they cost a lot less and there kill % seems to be higher too and very easy calving, what can go wrong? Anyone any other blonde bulls to suggest?

The bull we are using atm is an Ainsley grandson. And he is breeding exceptionally well for us. His full brother, Silverwood Mark, is available on AI from Bova AI in Ireland.
Visited the Hallfield herd a few years ago (where Ainsley was extensively used) and I saw many great daughters. James's bulls that he brings out to Carlisle are a credit to him, most will have Ainsley in their back pedigree.
There's some interesting bulls coming out of France atm, Hashtag and Glacon come very highly recommended. I'm thinking of using Hashtag on a batch of pedigree heifers.
