Ballygowan Blondes offer for sale this excellent example of the Blonde breed, Percy is a February '19 born bull out of Ark Maverick. Maverick was Reserve NI Stock bull of the year 2019 in the NI Clubs herd competition and Mavericks first son Ohio won the junior male championship at Balmoral 2019. Maverick is a very consistent breeder of both quality well grown fleshy males and correct females. All heifers by Maverick have so far been retained in the herd. Percy's dam is homebred Hollie, again a very consistent and milky cow from one of the best bloodlines in the herd including pedigrees of Tyson, Arawn and Landais. There is Ballygowan breeding in Hollie's background back to 1986 - some 34 years of consistency.
Percy is long, correct, good natured, well muscled and easily fleshed. He is on 3Kg of concentrate a day so not pushed and halter trained.
Ballygowan Blondes are members of the AFBI Cattle Health Scheme, we are accredited free of BVD, IBR, Lepto and Johnes Level 1. Percy has been individually tested for additional security - be assured you are not buying in disease.
