It's at times like these we need @bovine back I guess

While I certainly miss @bovine ‘s contributions, I don’t think we really need him to type it in this case.;)

I expect sore feet would probably be well down the list of problems after dose of formalin :inpain:
Tried drinking formalin once, 30 odd years ago. Thought it was water. Realised something was wrong straight away and spat it out without swallowing any. Next 5 minutes were not good. Couldn't breath, thought I was going to die. Managed somehow to convey what I had done to boss resulting in very white face and jaw hitting the floor! Frantic phone calls followed by break neck speed journey to local hospital. Air ambulance was put on standby. Spent 3 days in hospital, just under observation really. No after effects apart from face peeling like a bad dose of sunburn. If I'd swallowed the stuff they said it would probably have burnt straight thru me.
You wouldn't believe how sweet it tastes.

Maybe we could press that other fine vet, and breeder of top shedding tups @Woolless for his thoughts on homeopathy? He won’t take the moral high ground and huff like the other gentleman!:nailbiting:
Thanks for the big build-up! 😁

I'm no expert on homeopathy but I believe it's herbal remedies watered down and as such very unlikely to have a significant effect. If you want to use something a little more forgiving than formalin, try Provita's Hoofsure endurance in your footbath. I very unusually had a bad outbreak of scald just at weaning time two years ago and it cleared that up. Contains tea tree oil.

Not only is it watered down, but the more you dilute it the more potent the remedy becomes. It's all abut the energy memory in the molecules apparently. :censored:

My cousin was using homeopathic heptavac for several years with no problem, then lost a third of his lambs with dysentery. That changed his attitude pretty quickly. We stopped orf vaccines when they were unavailable and haven't had a problem since so if I was using homeopathic orf treatment it would like it's working, until there's a breakdown. It may work but not for me.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
