We have a second hand bogballe sower which was working well until the buttons stopped working and had to send it away to get them replaced. Ever since it came back it won’t read the speed and therefore won’t open the sower. Is there any way to calibrate it or possibly an electrical fault?

Check the jack plug into the bottom of the box is fully in.
If it's not it can cause all sorts of fun.
You can re calibrate the speed sensor as well, you need to measure 100 meters and follow the instructions in the drop down menu's.

Are you sure it's on the right channel?

Yeah make sure the little black line is under the right setting for what your taking speed off, tractor/radar/propshaft it may have been reset onto 1 of the others
