bogballe weight issue

Hello
I have Bogballe M35w, it dosent put right kg,s per/ha, i was spreading on 26ha field and put on 550kg per/ha(14.400kg) an when i was done i had 1200kg left. so i only put on 500kg per ha, but the computer "tonnage realized" told me i had put on 14.400kg.s

whats the problem ?

Hello, to me it sounds like the bulk density of the product being spread is different to what has been entered into the computer.

The computer thinks it has spread more product than it has, so you could try altering the bulk density setting downward by 10%, eg from 1220kgm³ to 1100, or from 1000kgm³ to 900

This will increase the spread rate by 10% (500kg/ha to 550kg/ha) and maintain the accurate 'tonnage realized' figure

I have no direct experience with this type of machine but this is how we would adjust the rate with our spreading trucks, product can vary in bulk density by a significant amount between batches and suppliers.

Weighing one litre of product can get you close but depends on a very accurate sample

Edit to add, is the bout width setting correct?

M35W is a weighcell machine, so should correct an error itself if the bulk density is put in incorrectly. Need to agree to the changes when prompted though.

Are any issues flagged up during startup checks or during work?

Is the right aperture size set? 550kg/ha should probably be on MAX setting, especially if it’s a bulky product.

I agree with @melted welly about the aperture

Is the scale that shows how open the shutters are jumping about and is it asking to agree adjustments? Could be an ajitator bearing going.
Was the hopper weight zeroed when you started?
If you at the extreme of the shutter opening an actuator calibration may help. I’ve never replaced a weigh cell so don’t know the symptoms of them packing up.
Or you could just be trying to go too fast, i’ve done that, flooded the discs and the spread pattern was non existent.

no issues, i have done all tests an everything is ok, it is also a problem when im in 300kg.per.ha

Are you sure you haven't maxed out shutter opening by going too fast????
Does a round circle flash next to the speed on the screen????
I was spreading 500kg of beet salt this spring and even on the +40 shutter setting it was easy to max out and under dose if I got a bit carried away with my speed.

Mine has been playing up the last couple days, the mechanism from the actuator has gotten tight, took it all apart this morning and greased it up, it was spot on for a few hours after that but this evening is back to actuator time out error and not putting enough stuff out…. It’s normally bang on but this used to happen to the old one we had, had to be pulled apart at the start of every season and lubed. Might be worth a try for the OP.

Ours does this too, and it will really throw the rates out when it does.

Sorry to hijack the the thread, I’ve 2014 M2W, my actuator has stripped the female threads. £1k’s for replacement part, anyone attempted sorting them?
Took the piece to a machinist this morning and he didn’t think it was possible, anyone info appreciated.
Pass the bells whisky, I’m hoora depressed about it.
