Bomford Farmtrim 435 on JD 3130

The 435 comes with three brackets and a chain which stabilise the machine when it is on the tractor. The top bracket goes under the top link?. I can see how this would work on a Massey but the JD only has one position for the top link.

Is there a solution or do you just leave it off?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Because a Ford top link is narrower and the link sits next to it?

I am assuming the chains work a bit like the system on B49s etc and once set you lower the machine onto them and it is the chains that take the weight (I don't have a manual). Any possiblity of a few pics.

Thanks. I have found another JD top link. I am thinking of replicating the top link bracket and welding it on the square section of the top link. I may also try the longer pin solution, but I have a feeling JD top links (tractor end) are an odd size.

Not sure welding on the top link is a good idea, anyway when I had this model I just locked the "check chains", still have the chains and brackets here as new!
