is it legal for a farmer to dump multiple cows worth of bones and eartags in a field ? the field in near a water source and multiple birds fly down for scraps . USA, PA
You’ll probably have to check the county it municiple bylaws. Lots of farmers have dead pits and they’re never issues. The bylaws would probably explain how many there would need to be before a pit would need to be dug or the carcasses removed.
The scraps would probably have to be right at the water to cause any major contamination unless it’s a high precipitation area, the rainfall runs towards the water and there’s a lot of fresh, dead stock being added regularly.
