project for winter , anyone using the boomless nozzles for quad spraying , got a few fields to do next year for thistles ,accuracy is not essential , as we can do missed bits a few times over summer if needed a, re they any good ?, what height do you mount them and is the 12v spray pump that comes with most quads sprayers powerful enough to use nozzles properly .

Had a “ boomerator” from quad bikes Wales
Didn’t seem to work for me, not to blame nozzle could well have been the operator
Now have a 10 ft boom from same company and it works well

Mine was a 15’ spray , mounted on rear rack
I just played with the hight until I had a 15 ft line of spray on concrete yard
To be fair it could have been the chemical or speed of quad etc but it didn’t seem to work for me
Have heard enduromaxx are ok, but have heard from others that the spray “droplets “ are to big

I had one and I was very unimpressed with the results. I think the spray droplets it makes are too coarse, so plant coverage is severely compromised. A boom with proper nozzles makes a lot better job IME.

We use a 15m for for bracken spraying, works well but we saturate the area.

Affected fairly bad by wind

I did read that the 12v pumps arent really powerful enough for boomless , better pattern with a pto pump , we did buy our sprayer with uprated 12v pump but recon might be wasting our time , maybe better to look for small an old tractor sprayer , for 20 acres then hide it back in the hedge ,

I didn't think much of the one I used to use at work.

Droplets too big...

Going to buy a proper little 3m boom for home, will make a subframe for the spray tank and boom so the whole lot drops on and off the quad with 2 pins...

I use a 25lt/min 12v pump on my 15m boomless, they don't require alot of pressure.
But that really is the limit of the pump.

Got it off simpers on here
