Borda Bia appear to be on the ropes answering questions over the provenance of Irish beef

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think 2 lads throwing out random “facts” and figures with no information of where they are getting them from is really putting Bord Bia on the ropes to be honest.

If this was as “on the ropes” as it got for them I think they didn’t loose to much sleep.

Well they finally got inside after a protest and asked some questions which clearly were not answered

Good on them for trying

I’m not really sure what questions they asked that didn’t get answered. They did say that 99% of the Irish factories were closed down which was completely untrue and they quoted quite a bit of anecdotal evidence as well. So I don’t know if I’d be betting my last penny on them being correct.

Good on them for trying agreed, but I don’t see anybody from Bord Bia being remotely caught out there

They should be getting proof before they go shooting off like that, otherwise it's just dangerous hearsay.
Our Department of agriculture is supposed to be policing the labelling, The public serviceS here has been caught out so many times on other issues you'd really have to wonder.
But it's bad enough that the quality of our beef is being badmouthed by our own farmers
