Would be interested to hear what others have installed to treat borehole water without going through the expense of testing.
My understanding is that ill need uv treatment and some reverse osmosis to do the job.
Im looking at undersink treatment for each property.

Lady in my village has a bore hole close to the house ,its on top of the aquifer that comes from Derbyshire ,,the water goes through a load of filters ,treatment canisters in her garage ,,no idea what they do but the quality is far superior to the tap water we get in the village

Local council environmental health will test it and bill you if you are supplying the water to third parties. Rental property supply means it’s commercial not domestic which brings in dearer testing fees too. Uv may be required if harmful bacteria are detected. Nitrates above 50 ppm may also need to be addressed by reverse osmosis filtration. Without tests you won’t know what needs to be done.

Thanks for the replies. Our experience is that testing has become very expensive. An undersink uv and reverse osmossis will bring the water up to drinking standard anyway.
Also a test is just a one day snapshot.
