I f he and Prince Charles both come through it with fairly minor symptoms, I can see there being some questions being asked about the severity of the clampdown on life.
They are our two highest profile people getting it, and whatever isolation measures they've been taking (or not!) obviously haven't worked.

If it’s man made the nukes will have to come out now .
Maybe this is all just a test for something bigger to come.
Throw a fairly nasty virus out there, hype it up, then play around with restrictions in life to see how the world reacts.

Then when the proper Big Nasty comes along in the future, those in charge will have a better idea of how far they can push things. Disease, asteroid, war, there's been films about every possibility, but real life won't have Will Smith or Bruce Willis saving the day!

Yes but if you cry wolf dont expect people to pay any heed next time. How many times do the weather men tell us the worst storm ever is coming only to find it was just a "bad day". The reason why no one pays much attention to weather warnings.

Urgent testing is required to see how gauge how far into the population this has gone. I suspect it will be quite far.

Sick people are turning up at hospitals to be tested and then people are working out death rates from the positive cases and death but god knows how many are being missed.

The easiest way to take over the world would be a virus, as long as you have a vacine of course, cant really see why China would release it who would buy all their sh!t if we were all dead
