Don't know for sheep but I feed them everyday to the young bulls and show and growing heifers, along with our home mixed hard grub. We have a load of palicons we've amassed over the years and we leave them at the local micro brewery (Exmoor Ales) and collect every Thursday. They'll keep a week or so that way. I am currently shoveling the BG into two wheelbarrows, adding the meal, mixing it up and then trundling round filling up feeders. Hasn't been best thing ever for replacement hip but cattle do very well on it!!
Generally feed it to cattle however have just got 3 weaners, pigs to do over the summer for sausages later.
You have to be careful not to give too much as there is a lack of some amino acid in the grain which can cause issues apparently.
We collect ours in Dolav box which we provide.
Drill some 10mm holes in the bottom to allow to drain and another tip is when you get it home consolidate the grain by getting in with wellingtons and compacting it down, this removes air and it keeps far better I have found.
Then every day take a thin layer off the top with a shovel and it keeps fresh.
These bins are ideal to fork into the back of a pickup.
