how come? the migrants must be coming from somewhere? Spain, Italy, etc. I don’t see France crying like a baby about it.

is dementia/amnesia rife on this forum? I well remember a whole chunk of the brexit camp lies was “take back control of our borders”

sorry, I really cannot remember “ask others to control our borders for us”. Maybe you can put a link up to that part?
Hang on! Forget Brexit. The migrant situation has nothing to do with Brexit. I am referring to the political situation handling or not handling this. The response from LBP suggested that “consequences” which I assumed to mean (of Brexit) is what’s driving the lack of control at the French border. The situation in Belarus border with Poland is more serious of course.

It's consequences.
Before Brexit you could just return them to the first country they had landed in. Or back to whence they came.
You did neither.
Then blamed the EU with a raft of lies during the referendum campaign.
Now your a third country your only choice is to deport them back to their country of origin. And still you don't! Why!!? What's Pritti doing?
Nothing!
Why? Because you can use it to keep stirring it with" it's still the EU's fault" Why?
It fits the agenda!
Bang goes the NIP , the WA goes out the window , the TCA is suspended and End Game Achieved.
Singapore on Thames.
Boris retires to get very very rich.

Brexit was everything to do with immigration as the Brexiteers never got fed up of telling us.

What a load of balls about controlling borders. Immigrants aside, all the imports from the EU are waved through unchecked as if it was still a single market. Meanwhile, export certificates and phytosanitary checks are the order of the day for our gear going the other way.
Maybe , but you wouldn't want to be eating the sh!t shite presently consumed in europe

Good grief! In an earlier post about the folk that simple want to trash the UK has some “traction”. Immigration has been an issue well before Brexit. As I’ve said time and time again, I was a “remain” vote camp but a majority thought otherwise. Why do you and other ex pats rattle on and on about the UK. To be fair you don’t live here anymore so what’s the problem?

I have a feeling that if the circumstances were reversed & thousands of migrants were turning up on French beaches from the UK they would be marched straight onto the next ferry back to the UK.
Really it is the EU’s fault as it allows it’s self to be a transit country for these migrants, if it wants to allow extra citizens into it’s countries that’s fine but it cannot then send them to a third country without expecting them to be returned!
