I ordered a building from them in March this year knowing lead times were going to be long. The building needed to be up and fitted out for the start of calving the first week of September. At present I have the roof sheets and purlins on farm and nothing else! I made my deadline very clear at the time of order. They were late digging the footings by two months thus causing the ordering of the steel to be late. I was then informed that the purlins were the problem and would not be rolled until 23 August but everything else would be onsite so they could proceed as soon as the purlins arrived. Today the purlins arrived but I am now informed that my steel is still at the galvanisers. I have been told so many things that turn out not to happen. So as of next week we have over 100 cows calving and nowhere to house the calves. What a wonderful company!!

Where did you house them last year?
Construction companies are having a hellish time sourcing materials at present and prices are rising on a daily basis.

TBF, I ordered a grainstore in January. We are tipping in it this week, they are leaving site today but yet to get doors and a few other bits on.

7 months is usually enough time but not in 2021. Everyone has had a nightmare from supply issues and the knock on it causes.

the only difference between a good and bad company this year is how well they kept you informed. That said, they get told dates which they pass on to you, which then, in turn aren’t honoured by the manufacturer so how does one go forwards 🤷‍♂️

I ended up ringing a supplier direct yesterday to try and cut out some hassle, they didn’t like it but gave me the answers I wanted In the end.
