British friesian bulls

He’s out the same cow and bombardiers fertility is higher than Caesar so wouldn’t bother me. He’s marginally different on fat Kilos?, Also much wider milkier bull. Just what I thought anyway.
He is definitely better on type than contender - when I used him I'm almost certain he positive chest width but think they must have changed- good old genomics 🤣 having said that the contender calves I have here look fantastic and are anything but negative, have backs as wide as tables!

Wouldn't say there's much in it milk wise but fat would be the decision maker for me personally! But probably won't use either of them.
My favourite bull available right now is patriot by a country mile. His genomic are solid as a rock and his calves are stylish - plus he's red!!
I like the look of kerevi from genus as he's got an awesome sire stack behind him. But again his fat figures, fertility and chest width put me off slightly

Seb is a fantastic choice for anything milky and I like the look of carlyon but can't use negative fat bulls 🤔

Gtw is a no go unfortunately having dropped 100pli points this proof run 🙄 jake, Jay and jigsaw are sitting nicely so will be ordering more.

Probably going to order some veritas as he's had a good proof and has some very nice figures. Love his dam as well and haven't used his sire so less risk of inbreeding. Fertility being his main negative.

Ted, surprise and judd have all had a nice proof run as well so may look at them too.

Although not many new bulls available this autumn there are lots of bulls in the pipeline for next spring. Both of the big 2 have taken quite a few very good and interesting bulls born this spring.

Currently gonna use jingle hard, just could be a similar situation to chad that all the new bulls are his sons. Might have to use a Holstein after that to put some different blood in and as way things are now and being on a predominantly liquid based contract need to be getting a bit more milk.

He's a nice bull, I've never used jingle so it's given me lots of choice and tbh, I'm quite pleased I didn't because I've got unlimited access to all his sons who should be better again!

Interesting thought process that.

On purpose or accidental?
Both. Had a hunch he was going to have some cracking sons and got lucky in that I was right!
Saw what happened with chad in that although he was a fantastic bull, his sons were even better but people were stuck because their best heifers were by chad.

Took a risk last year and didn't use jingle, now my best calves are unrelated to any of his sons so have the pick of the bunch!

I am slightly worried patriot is going to be on the same lines and I've used too much of him...

Well you have summed it up there. Not sure what I will use for this winter nothing has really stood out for me. Like patriot red but slightly negative on fertility also like Elijah but he’s not sexed. Will have to see nearer the time.

I'll probably end up ordering patriot, maybe some seb, conventional jake, sexed Jay, jigsaw and veritas and then maybe some surprise or Ted

Which Chad sons are better in your opinion? None are anywhere near as proven as Chad and when he had similar amount of daughters to his sons now he had much better figures than them now.

Dungmorley chad Jacob, goonhilly samson would be the 2 obvious proven bulls, then there's a host of genomic sons with potential

But look at his daughters more importantly, the number of bulls in ai now that are sons or grandsons of chad cows is phenomenal

He has left a legacy and like him or not he's put his stamp on the breed

A lot of his sons will have chad in or other common bloodlines I’d of thought, so be good bulls but won’t be able to use them. we haven’t used pinnacle and only Hylke sons so can use plenty of him. I think he’ll be a god cross over the Jupiter’s.

Ah! I used about 50 straws of sexed, first time I’ve ever used a British Friesian, used LIC bulls years ago which were good, see how they compare to Atriums, a compact holstein !

Be good to see how they compare!
If there's joseph available you would like them I reckon bit more holsteiny imo but still strong and nice, just very elegant
