What does everyone think of the article in the farmers weekly this week? Quite surprised to see him culling heifers if they give under 5000 litres.

When he says he is going back to using Holstein, he is using the top EBI Bulls available in a drive to regain his position as number one herd in Ireland for EBI (Economic Breeding Index -Irelands national index) a lot of the High EBI Bulls are around 75-90% Holstein with the rest being friesian.

His herd wouldn't be pure British Friesian by UK standards as we have a cut off of 87.5% friesian bloodlines.

But it is a fantastic herd with a lot of good individuals. We sell Coolmohan Flynn who is a massive outcross bull being a Ballynagragna Nautical 19 x Lysell Image x Reary Norton

Semen available from Goonhilly Josh @£7 per straw. Great bull being the son of Piet adema 186 from a full sister to Goonhilly Joseph.

His genomic figures indicate £233 PLI
+132 milk, +0.13 fat%. + 0.07 %protein

The thing the stands out about Josh is the sheer scale of the bull, with positive stature, positive, chest width with wide rumps. Added to this good udder and feet and leg scores makes a great all round bull.

Where can you buy the semen from?
