If you want solids I've got Goonhilly Josh for sale soon. I've finished taking semen from him now. You can look at his figures and picture in the classified ads:)
Excuse my ignorance but I can't seem to get up any classifieds other than machinery. What am I doing wrong? Or how do I get specific ads?

So does it take out the "dam" side of breeding then.
So a daughter proof will be 50% dam and sire where as the genomic is 100% sire?

The figure will be halved and combined with half of the mothers PTA's giving us a parental average for the individual traits. This is the same wether a genomic or proven Sire is used.

There will be a scientific % comparison but I would suggest the distribution of the heifers and the % of which are et are bigger factors. I think the genomic numbers still have an influence at such low numbers.

The correlation between a genomic and daughter based proof is over 0.8 (AHDB Research)

Cheers.

Had a quick look at Genus' offering at a similar pli and he certainly holds his own. It could be argued he has even more going for him.
You must be chuffed, well done.
Thanks, the thing I like about him is that he has wide chests, wide rumps good body depth and tall stature. I think he would add strength to Holsteins and British friesian cows
