Browns sledge.

Is anyone using a Browns box section flat 8 sledge, and can you tell me if the towing system is the same as the old tubular sledge, that is a replacement steel strip fabricated tailgate for the baler, that just tows the sledge by dropping the eye over a pin above the sledge front wheel. A photo would be good if possible please.

Yes, it's the same on the baler end.
My baler has a mini hinged drawbar that runs underneath the original baler chute instead as an alternative means of connection. Less pressure on the bale chamber.

She's gone now was around 12/13 years ago transporting it with string was permitted .

What kind of worn state was yours in?
I travel miles with my baler and Browns sledge in tow. Other than the issue of fitting a 9'2" wide outfit down an 8'11" road to get to some customers, the outfit tows just fine!

2 year old welger like you said wider than the roads you travel major issue with oncoming cars in narrow lanes

Thanks for the help chaps.
I have now had chance to look at the sledge and it is indeed very similar towing arrangement to the one I had years ago, just better engineered.
Should not be too much trouble to fashion a towing tailgate.
