I bought a bull 3 weeks ago,he's 20 months old, he has never served before but when he jumps on a cow he continually misses the honey pot,will time and practise sort this out
How many cows have you tried him with in that time? It could be 'lack of practice' if he's only had 1 or 2 to do, particularly if the cow wasn't standing really well and moved slightly at the critical moment.
When you say he's missing, is he always veering off the same way? I.e to the side or too high or low? It could be that his tackle isn't straight. If it's different each time it's probably his technique.
I'd be speaking to the breeder though.
