Bunning beater drive

I have an oil leak on the gearbox drive shaft which goes up the the beaters. I have removed the stub shaft but am unable to remove the shaft from the beater drive top hat. Don't want to put too much pressure on the shaft in the press and damage something. Any ideas how to split it to get to the seal above the bearing?

The drive hat was only slid onto a splined shaft but took 25t in the press and had to heat it to get it moved. The other side pressed out fairly well in comparison.
