How do you fit new floor slats to a bunning spreader?

Inside the spreader or underneath with the chain tension off?

Thanks that's what I thought but I was wondering if with that bend in the end it was possible to wiggle them in inside the body .

Now just need to get the correct slat .

We got sent this one ut it's not gonna fit

That slat is typical of the sort I have seen, I presume you must have an earlier design of chain that needs different slats. Changing them from underneath was always pretty simple from what I remember but not all spreaders are the same.

What price are the proper slats out of interest? Last time I bent a couple I was in a hurry so went and picked up steel from the local blacksmith and made a few, it’ll be standard enough section sizes...

No idea to be honest

We rang them but they've no thick wall box or we would've just got 1 cut .
It's not our spreader just putting it right before it goes back after an unfortunate incident with a stone

It's a mk4 120 if the small box wasn't spot welded in further down I would've just cut it out and the slat would've been fine . I'm assuming the older ones are different. I know the mid 90s ones bolt in
