Buying Milk Pergals

Posted this in another forum but probably more appropriate in here.

I am potentially going to be needing to purchase boxed pasteurised ready to drink pergals in large quantities.

Is it possible to go direct to source ie you guys / farmers themselves or is the best way to go through a dairy?

Thanks in advance for any help / guidance.

You'll find that most farms won't be geared up for supplying pergals, probably best approaching local Dairy / producer processor direct.
Why pergals?
What sort of quantities?

Pergals are the only way to fly. Saves opening 50 thousand bottles a day. Bit of a sod to change though, even worse when they manage to freeze and have a hardened lump of frozen milk in the middle and not much liquid comes out.

You will be able to source them from any wholesaler very readily.

Not sure about that, Only hold equivalent of < 7 poly bottles. & as you say above not straight forward to use.
Often find they work out dearer than bottles ( quick seach comes up with 97p / litre ) & you need a chilled dispenser costing + £400

It is possible to go direct to the farm, but only a farm with pasteurising facilities. My parents sell hundreds of pergals every week from their dairy herd, although I suspect transport may be an issue from Somerset.
Maybe @Bruce Almighty could help?

What strikes me as strange about this thread is that a simple google search will bring up loads of dairies willing to sell to the op and anyone who is already in business will know their local suppliers anyways.
By the terminology used in the opening comment I feel that the provenance of the product and the story behind it will not be used as a selling point but more any sales of milk to the op will be down to price and price only.
