Cab for Ferguson Tef

Hello there,

I'm from the Netherlands and rebuilding a Tef from 1954,
I've seen some tefs on the internet with a cab on it and looks nice,

Here in the Netherlands there are none with a cab on it,
Well... i've never seen one over here...

Can somebody please tell me or show me a picture how
it's fitted at the front,

Cause i want to build one myself.

Thanks for reading.
Best regards

Geert

Sorry no, I found then as well,
I'm looking for the place where to connect the cab in the front.

To connect of to the steeringhouse will be to weak,
But where is it connected then ?

The ones I have seen have brackets down from the foot peg bolts and the front of the cab is secured to these and or brackets from the lower cab run forward and are bolted onto the bellhousing/block, sides of the cab are onto brackets on the wings. On 35's there is a plate that bolts on the underside of the clutch bell housing.
The best looking cab (if indeed there ever is/was one) I think is the Scottish Aviation cab, they do crop up from time to time eBay and the like.
If you join The Friends of Ferguson club they have a forum where youll be able to find out a lot more about these cabs. Unfortunately you have to be a member to view, a lot of helpful people there. But be warned, I welded a bracket on my Ferguson plough beam and became the Devil Incarnate, needless to say I am not a member any more!

Thanks,
Personal i'll like the winsam cab, Cause they are more round,
But that's a personal thing,
Most people don't like a cab at all on a Tef,
But over here in the Netherlands i've never seen on with a cab at oldtimershows.
I'm still building my tef and hope to finishing of in feb 20,
As jou say, I think a bracket around the foot peg bolts will be the best option,

Chap I know of ploughs with a cab on, looks very tight and would suspect not be the quietest place to spend a day.
Yes, I think (if i remember correctly) they used bolts instead of the short studs that hold the pegs on, maybe they should have used extended studs but bolts were in place.
I am sure if you have a good "Google" around there must be some pictures floating around the net to give you some idea of front fixing but do agree wouldnt really want to use the bellhousing/engine bolts as a bit of a fiddle if you wanted to take the cab off and also on a TEF you have the throttle/air venturi rod etc that goes across the top of the housing

Talking of hinges, I clamped most of a car bonnet to the rollbar of our 35 cantilever style. Check out Minneapolis UDLX or Eill Bulldog with fixed screen and pram roof. Personally, always liked the Fritzmeir or even a Deere SG2.

I had a lambourne cab exactly the same as one in picture on one of my fergies, bolted to the top of original mud gaurds and then secured again at front near footpegs if I remember correctly. I didn't have it on all that long as it was a bit of nuisance to be honest, amplified the noise was hot and cut down on visibility a lot when working

This is mine where i'm working on.
This was when i saved him from being stripped apart.

Coreplugs missing, acorns and dropping from mice inside the engine...

Every single part that contained rubber was periched.

I bought it from the first owner...
he was saying that it didn't run the last 20 years....

Now it running good, no smoke or other leakage...
A few little problems with the feulpump,
I don 't have a lot of pictures yet...

Here are some more....
