Calf creep extension

cows were getting a nuisance bullying the calves whilst eating in the calf creep....so we made this...

To fit on this....

Not exactly a massive engineering feat but hopefully it’ll do the job

Steady on mate he's used paint and it looks new, no chance of the bodger police letting him in there.

Good work there @Northeastfarmer but won't the bullys still work on the sides or worse still get in themselves.

It was mainly the cows standing trying to reach in for cake and hyping the calves up the arse....I’ll see how it goes I’ve got plenty of galvanised sheet laid about I can cut and tek on the sides of needs be

@Northeastfarmer Going to do exactly the same with mine this winter, set the bar low enough to stop the cows getting at the grub and the calves get in, raise the bar and the more agile cows can just reach the trough. They should be made 2 foot deeper but i guess they wouldn't fit on a wagon for delivery or something then.

Our cows were getting on knees are managing to flick food out of the trough on the ground then going round back and eating from the ground.

Wasn't so much the waste of cake but also how much they churned up round the feeder doing it.

Works a treat how us and Neil did it. Plus it's all on crooks so just takes of or folds in on itself when moving around.
