Calving camera

Looking for calving camera options. Cattle are in a shed on a farm 600 metres as crow flies from main farm. I live 10 mile from main farm, but dad and brother live on site. Is there a camera that will send signal to farm router that I can then access via cloud or similar at home. Would save the old man going out at midnight to check them. If positioned right it could also double as a yard cam for security through the year too.

I’m looking to do the same, just haven’t picked which one yet, AgriCamera that’s worth looking at and Farmers eye, not sure if your 600m is a problem or not, I’m looking at 150m. I think the AgriCamera one at £1000 is probably what I’ll get but just giving a local chap a chance to quote first, I’d rather help a local small business unless he’s a robbing git!

What camera set up did we go for in the end? Interested in how you got on.

I went with AgriCamera, he did me a lamma discount which was good but I’d already decided that looked a better set up. It was a piece of cake to set up, bit of work with the JCB and man cage but I did it in a short afternoon. It’s really simple to use, zoom in and you can clearly read an ear tag. Sadly I’m yet to witness a calving with it as they have all gone camera shy  if we want to expand it in the future it’s all simple plug in stuff. I’m considering adding to it and using it for farm CCTV.

Thanks. So do you have one yard of animals calving or do you move them into the camera yard as they bag up?
