Any body bought a calving gate lately, what sort of price are they? Like the look of the Ritchie one with the fold up bottom for suckling etc.

Jordains operation gate from Teemore here, unsure what the price is now, but worth every penny at any price. Make sure you get one suitable for c-sectons, little extra but after any use you will wonder how you lived without it.

I’ve got an IAE one here, never needed to use it in anger yet so it’s paid for itself already. After my accident in the summer I thought it was a wise investment

Ritchie may have a special Lamma show price !?

I've got one. Excellent piece of kit and so much safer than getting cows behind gates.

Might look expensive at the time, but cheaper than a kick in the head or leg or been bulldozed into the ground by some over zealous cow.

just on with making my own this afternoon as it had to be a full swinging gate to suit a 15ft bay and and not leave the pen open when in use, i don't think it can go to galvanisers yet as the wild heifer that was estimated in june is banging up fast

We had 3 scanned and jabed on 9th june Mrs FF wanted to leave them but i did not think the heifers would be big enough but to be fair they have grown well so who knows,The vet said about 1/20 does not work for what ever reason,The others have been running with the bull for about 6 weeks now
