Cambridge Roller Shaft Bearings

I’m in the middle of giving our old set of Dalbo Cambridge rollers some long overdue TLC. The shafts run in nylon bearings which are just about worn completely through, but the new replacements I've been sent are seriously slack on the shafts.
I wondered if anyone on here had seen anything similar - I’m pretty sure they’re not supposed to be that slack?

These ones cost me about £40 each so the plan is to return them and get some new ones made up from nylon round bar with about 0.5mm clearance all the way round but thought it was worth checking there’s not something I’m missing? Like should there be a collar between the shaft and nylon (brass maybe?)

Any suggestions welcome!

If you look at the old bushings there is the same amount of land on the two good sides as there is on the new bushings so it's not her first rodeo, id be disappointed if that's what came in her originally and I'd doubi it too.

As much as you might like to "get bushings made" unless you've got a friend who works a lot with nylon that stuff is pretty damn dear in that kind of stock.
On top of that, looks like to me that the new bushings have been moulded going by the pics I'd imagine because of cost.

I'd contact supplier and Air my problem but I'd say you will be fitting the ones you got tbh.

Unless you get something made to take the shaft up to the size of the hole that's in the new bearing, the shaft looks not too bad but there is going to be some fettling needed, and a shrink fit to keep it there, or weld.

Yeah you are right it does look like the ones currently fitted are the same as the ones I’ve been supplied with.
I did contact Dalbo and they said they’d get back to me but no word yet... these are Kramp parts for a Dalbo roller shaft though so it does seem like they are the right thing for the job.
We have nylon round bar at work for making conveyor bushes, so I can get tighter ones made for a crate of beer or two. The problem is that I’d also have to make up new carriers with pipe instead of the box section (as the new bushes would be round and not square)

I’d think that tighter ones would last better though?
