Great drills love ours, simple but does the jobI have to make it work first, but I hope so too. First job OSR, when I get the wheat off.
I'd have bought some concrete first mate , just an observation

Thanks, done Groundswell once, I need to get back. I need to order some sandals though.Where are the sandals and Groundswell tickets?
Good luck with the drill. I know you’ve wanted one for a while!
Have you tried it yet?
OSR but I'm not talking about that, I'm pretty sure it's not a drill issue, just a dogged determination not to use Slug pellets or insecticides.Have you tried it yet?
We always put a couple of kg ferric slug pellets down the spout in winter wheat. The nature of the channel left by the Baker boot makes it a slugs canteen if he finds it.OSR but I'm not talking about that, I'm pretty sure it's not a drill issue, just a dogged determination not to use Slug pellets or insecticides.
Started drilling wheat after OSR today, looks to be going in lovely, must confess I am going to try to kill a few slugs this time though.
Better beer in Herts......I did fix it that a local open day did not clash with Groundswell this year…
If you think that's simple you should see my 3m box drill refreshingly uncomplicated. In my 5th autumn with my 4m still loving the simplicity of the Simtech.View attachment 1067043View attachment 1067044
I have had a 3m on farm and drilled some AB9 plots with it. Sceptical as I was about the metering it calibrated well and drilled out accurately. I used the first Small Countryside Productivity Grant to make the 4m cost the same as a 3m. With the extended hopper I can just let a tonne bag in unthrottled which helps make 2.5ha/hr a realistic output drilling wheat at 8km/hr.If you think that's simple you should see my 3m box drill refreshingly uncomplicated.
