Had a long email from a surveyor on utility checks. Overhead 3 line setup, 11 kva I think.

They want to cut about half a km of hedge that to be fair is in places getting close to the line.

How do I stand with the RPA? If they cut it in may when it dries out will we get any grief?

As long as have email/written proof from utilities as evidence should RPA do a check not a problem. Utilities can do what they like without any consequences unfortunately.

Also I think there is no cross compliance at the minute as BPS ended, and as far as getting cross compliance into law has not happened yet, although happy to stand corrected, so in effect no cut off after 28th February providing still due due diligence for nesting birds etc.

This is obviously a safety hazard, you could trim that hedge and deahtra could do fudge all about it. Same as doing them on the roads and verges- an obvious issue for traffic/road use.
