Are your tyres the right way round?
An 865 is an 860 with multi flow.
Ours would squeeze into a 15 bay with tyres touching both sides
Mines not an old combine, but is a massey. It's 2008 year 7278AL. Just posted for interest really. Amazing how they've changed things about to get combines narrower over the years. Although this bugger feels enormous on the road.

Let's hope we see some pictures of her please. (y)
Yes thanks Massey Man, managed to get some nice shots of her courtesy of son in law, I will list these soon and on my website! We are from today Sunday about half way through harvest! So far and no dilemmas,
Although had a chain break and belt go on 525 today cutting organic wheat! Hate that bloody stuff!! Happy days!

Looks like she's had a good dose of elbow grease. Credit to you.
Don't forget some working pictures.
Yes I do wax and polish her! It makes it easier to clean after harvest! They used polyurethane paint on these at Brantford it's lasted well and comes up nice with a bit of effort! It's better colour than super red I think.
I'm going to re trim the cab this winter as its all breaking down now the foam backing has deteriorated, these trim kits are available from states! Full kit about £300 ?
I think she's worth spending that on she cuts about 130 acres for us , she had a busy life before us but had a very good owner and credit should go to him who looked after his front line machine.

Think ours was 14 foot 6inches wide on 30 inch tyres. UK roads were not really made for Canadian combines.
Yes are wheels are turned in!? We have a 16 ft table most of the 865s had rims turned out with the 18 ft tables on.
We couldn't get about here with em turned out for sure!

I see it has a P&B sticker on, do you know who had it before you @jakeboy ?
Indeed yes! It was bought new by Lawson and Clark farming group, one of a pair of 860s incidentally ours was the last 860 sold and registered in UK by peacock and Binnington, in 1988 and she has a 6 cylinder not a v8!
I was told this information by someone at this company, who also said only 6 860 6 cylinder models ever came to the uk although it was an option at that time on these combines!
The combine stayed there about 12 seasons then moved still in Lincolnshire to a very nice gentleman who looked after it very well and cut about 4/500 acres annually.
The combine suffered complete engine failure about 4 seasons before we bought it, and it was completely rebuilt by Chandlers, at the time there was a big inquest on what actually went wrong, as these Perkins engines are normally very reliable.
The dronny received a full rebuild new belts bearings and hex shafts a couple of seasons before we bought her so she's pretty tight for us, and we hope to continue using her as long as we have corn to cut!
Our customers are ex combine owners for 40 plus years and now sub the job out to us, because of there smaller acreage and the cost of running a machine and storage etc.
They have no issue's about a 30 yr old combine in there crops because my guarantee is if you ain't happy with the service don't pay!?
We have been harvesting for them for over 10 years and they read this forum and would soon shoot me down in flames if I have been economical with the truth here! Happy days mate.
Been out on 525 today another belt gone! Have not replaced any belts for 3 season's but have had 2 go in a week! Belts that looked ok before we started!
Found a good supplier in Germany courtesy of Arters in Kent.
