Check the linkage limit is all the way up, and that the rods are pulling the hitch up, they do stretch. The 3 point speed setting has a lock on it if you twist it past its slowest setting, but from memory the hitch will lift but not lower if this is the case. You can also occasionally activate draft with your palm using the linkage, but you should see that on the dash.

The cable comes out inside the hitch and is unsheathed and can pack around it with dirt, stopping the hooks pulling back, but normally you can feel it. You can reach underneath with a screwdriver on the standard hitch and push the hooks back if there is no pressure on them. Don't do this with anything on the hitch!!!. The two hooks are held on a shaft with some grub screws and they can work out and one or both hooks will not disengage, but if this happens the handle should move freely. Occasionally if you lower the standard hitch and run with it down you can pack around where the hooks latch with mud and they don't catch properly, which can seize them in, but more commonly they only just latch on the tip and the first bump or load pings the hitch off - It's something to be aware of.

Where did you buy it?

Surprised dealers put it out with hitch not working, window latch handle broken and seat not right. Pretty basic things to put out right on a used tractor.

Not going to say, but he said those wee things reflect the price, the window handle is just a wee thing and the hitch look fine, that problem must be my fault l think.

Yes, lv got it to work, release, how do you lower and lift the arms, obviously there is something not set right with the hydraulics, the two wee buttons work sometimes, then the read manual light comes on, up and down is all l want.

If it is your first electronic lift control, be sure to study the book a bit first and then have a play. The various implementations different manufacturers use aren't always obvious even if you have used electronic lifts before, and can be frustrating. I think I had a "why isn't it lifting to the top?" moment in my Farmall at first, and it wasn't the "Max lift height" control but the thumb wheel next to the main height rotary wheel I think.

There's a button under the steering wheel to change the dash readout from PTO RPM to Lift Height %; make sure it is lifting to 100%. If it is, the problem is mechanical and it's a pretty simple system. Just because the noise changed doesn't mean it is at the top... there's a bit more to it than that. The up down buttons for instance aren't used to set the position of the arms, but with a single press drop to a height which is set with the large rotary dial and lift to the max lift height set on another little rotary switch. There's a few other buttons to tweak how fast to drop, how much to allow the work height to ride up and down and how easily it should do that. If you press the up button halfway through a lift it will stop the lift. The mud guard buttons can be used to set the position while attaching implements, and then you have to transfer control back to the cab by moving the rotary dial through the position the arms are at after using the external controls. You can also use the large rotary dial as the main control for arm height, which is probably simpler round the yard if you aren't using draught control.
