Case 110 losing power

I have a Case 110 - 2009 which has had a reconditioned fuel pump fitted, it started but when it was run out on the road within a mile it started coughing and spluttering and lost power. It just made it back to the workshop and now it won't start. The reason for the reconditioned pump being fitted was because the tractor had done exactly the same the previous week. The diesel / tank / filters / hoses etc have all been checked. Any ideas please?

Still sounds like you have a supply issue. First rig up a temporary tank on side of engine feeding straight into fuel filters or lift pump, whichever is first. If it runs like that then you have a fuel supply issue

^^^^ Short length of hose directly to the pump from a ****Clean**** can on top the bonnet. You may need to bleed it by loosening acouple injector lines. If no go, then your new pump has sh*t itself .

Have you checked if it’s injecting? Loose off injector pipe? Reason I ask is I assume that the injector pump was timed to the gear on a tapper shaft without a key way? I had another colour slip a whike after re fitting pump although tightened to correct torque. I now always torque them up, fit everything else and try to leave as long as possible before tightening again. Just a though. If it’s injecting it could be your timing.
