Just noticed while baling that clutch fluid was dripping down from the master cylinder. It looks a pig to get to.
Anyone got advice on the simplest way to access it to replace it? Or is it a case of removing the whole dash etc?
cheers, Moog

Getting the dash off is the hardest, or fiddly part - need to remove various switches each of which has their own little idiosyncrasies (eg headlight switch with a hidden button).

Other tricky part is disconnecting the electrical connector into the dash panel, can be awkward, best to disconnect battery before you do this.

Just an update to say I eventually got the job sorted today! The first time doing a job is the trickiest, if I had to do it again I would sail through it much quicker!

Thanks to the smartphone I recorded my progress so I knew the wiring layout and where each connector went.

Got the clutch master cylinder seals replaced with the help of YouTube, plus also took the opportunity to replace the old heater control cable that had gone Pete Tong.

All in all a tidy job and saved money doing all the work ourselves.

Cheers all.

To make this job easier , also the brake Master Cylinders . carefully cut a section of the dash on the side out so it is like a removable panel. Just make a couple of brackets to hold it in place with a bit of thin sheet steel and self tapping screws . Replacing the seals only takes a third of the time and the modification is quite neat.
