My neighbour has a case 5150 and the engine is gone , most part suppliers are closed here , where is the best place to get a complete kit for it in origionial quality , not the cheap fake kits.

Is it not a Cummins in that tractor?
What the hell have you done to it to kill a 6BT?

Mind you, they're easy enough to rebuild but I can't decide if it's be cheaper to buy a good engine and do a swap, only about £700 for a good runner.
That was my thoughts, very strong engine. My fitter who,s been around the block told me he has never had one apart, only head off.

Any engine will go if the oil pump gives up. Mine did at 15 k hours. Replaced with one out of a scrapped bus. £400. Used to be plenty about as they were in Leyland Daf trucks amongst other things.

It might be same engine in road runner
but is it the same specification?
I used to have a Peugeot 307 with a
1.4 ford Diesel engine but the fitter at
the main dealer told me although it is
Ford engine it is to Peugeot specification
And the same applies to the ford Mondeo engine in Jaguar cars

Generally a 6BT is a 6BT.

They have different fuel pumps and manifolds and flywheels and bellhousings for different applications but blocks are the same

The problem with a second hard engine is it’s hard to know how good it really is. Anyone know of any good one available.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
