Seen one advertised. Body works rough but been told mechanically good. Done 9000 hrs recently had clutch done. 4WD and splitter all work and pumps not been touched. What else is there to look out for on these tractors and what would you roughly value it at? its a 1993. tyres 50% Roofs been knocked about all lights missing. Also front grill and headlights missing.
Tin work is very good. no holes in doors or pillars.
All advice very welcome

And aircon.
If it is digital dash and facelift bonnet it is British built from the production moving from Germany to alow room for Maxxum production.
Aircon isn't mentioned in my January 1993 price list, not even in the options list and it's not in my September 1992 parts book so I think it must've been a later addition like the bigger clutch and the Dromone hitch.

I wonder if the top section above the lights might adapt from the 95 series? The lower surround looks similar to the 56 series but with a different grill insert. Would need to check dimensions.

I've got a parts book and they're as different as day and night. The bracket behind the grill that supports everything is different and the side panels are different too.

The front of a 95 series is all in one piece so no way to adapt it unless you cut it up and get inventive with some fibre glass filler.
That is if the bonnets are the same width for starters..

I think you might be right the width might be different. The GRP might not be too difficult if pushed.

How hard would it be to change that type of nose cone to an earlier red International (none Case one) as I think the early ones look far better,
Is there extra stuff behind the grill taking up more room, or is the width / height different ?
Got to be similar I can't imagine CIH spending much on an old model. Still might be worth checking if the 56 series would fit.
